Windows xp, WAMP when apache is running, there is not an open console (DOS-Box). I cannot see if apache is running or not windows xp home edition 2002 apache 1.3.26 mysql 3.23.49 php 4.2.1 phpmyadmin 2.3.0-rc3 Apache is running as a service. You will not see an open DOS box. You can see if Apache is running by checking the services in Computer Management, or by typing NET START at the command line. You can also start and stop the service at the command line - type NET HELP START and NET HELP STOP at the prompt for more info. You can also use the included Apache Monitor to start, stop, and check whether it's running.
